Dealing with old software

Alot of the times, clients arrive at the conclusion they want a custom approach after trying all sorts of patched up solutions, some combining various software to achieve what they want while others relying on one big old software to get them by. The guys at TexImp were using an outdated Quote manager that was native to Windows that was clunky, had poor navigation and would crash a lot of the times. So they wanted a custom solution that will offer flexibility, is cloud-based and catered precisely to their use cases.

Prioritising and defining core functionality

I made an analyisis of how they were using the old application and thier current worklows and we identified 4 core features that we want the new solution to be built upon: ・ Contacts database ・ Easily creating quotes ・ Managing subisidaries: employees & sales agents ・ Stock machines overview

For the dashboard we selected the most important widgets to display. Having your track record on close reach and seeing your current stats motivate a better performanc. We really wanted to facilitate ease of access to useful information and the dashboard helps centralise all that.

The contact database reflects the sales funnels they use. Each contact has a rank depending on which stage of the sales process they are and how many machines they have installed.

This page contains all information collected by the agents about the contacts/clients. It helps keep track of what clients buy, what requirements they have, changes in personal information and so on. They aslo can Create a Quote directly from here to the respective contact.

This give agents the ability to capture all relevant client data in order to create highly personalised quotes.

Creating a Quote is the main action agents perform on a daily basis. Once they fleshed out the requirements for each client, they will begin to create quotes containing the requested products and their specifications.

We created an easy to use step-by-step process for putting together a quote, setting it up and sending it to the respective client.

Working on an german in-house product was really informative and gave me a deeper understanding of how internal processes work, how teams of sales agent communicate and what their needs are. Loved working on this!
